• Setting: Level 1 OB Unit (18 LDRP beds, 4 triage beds, 2 ORs)
• Start Date: June 29, 2026
• End Date: September 28, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights; every other weekend and holiday
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
• Scrubs: Provided on unit

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (required) — ideal for travel nurse licensure
• Minimum 1 year recent RN experience (required); recent OB, ED, or critical care experience preferred
• Perinatal/OB/Mother-Baby experience preferred for Labor & Delivery nursing
• BLS certification (must obtain prior to direct patient care if not already held)
• NRP certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire if not already held)
• Ability to flex between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units
• EKG exam required
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record and fetal monitoring systems (Obix, GE monitors) preferred
• Strong assessment, documentation, and patient education skills — breastfeeding and newborn care counseling experience a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, family-centered perinatal care to women and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Circulate and recover C-sections (scrubbing is a bonus but not required) and assist in operative obstetric care
• Utilize EPIC, Obix, and GE fetal monitoring systems for accurate documentation and fetal assessment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including OBGYNs, CRNAs, and neonatal nurse practitioners
• Support and educate patients and families on breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge planning
• Maintain patient safety, adhere to infection control protocols, and participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
